kid-bits

So I’ll admit to not always cooking the healthiest of dinners. Sometimes we eat frozen things, sometimes we eat boxed things, and sometimes I cook from scratch.

Last week, it was a busy day and we had a busy evening ahead of us. I pulled o/ the old fish sticks and mac and cheese, usually a favorite of the kids. For some reason, Sis wasn’t groovin’ w/ the fish sticks. They usually can’t get enough of them. I asked her why she wasn’t liking them this night.

Her reply: “I don’t know ma, it’s like there’s a party in my tummy and no more fish sticks are invited.”

  1. Out of the mouths of babes…….that’s a very visual description and very funny too. Sis is quite the cut-up isn’t she? lol

  2. ya she says the funniest things. we were walking in the dark last night and she looks up and sees one bright star. she declares it her favorite star, and says his name is bob. who knew??

  3. Lol! that is absolutely adorable! kids say the darndest things…

now, i gotta question. i grew up in a completely different atmosphere than a lot of people, but why do you call your daughter sis? i’ve heard other people do that and i just don’t get it…

  4. i know, it really makes no sense. but when i was growing up my aunt always called my little cousin sis and it always just seemed so sweet to me and i always wanted a little girl to call sis:)

  5. ‘Bob’ the star. Love it!!! Hope all’s well with you and your Kris. xx

  6. Um… that should be ‘yours’ Kris ;0) Sorry, ‘Saturday typing-fingers’.

  7. Bob the Star! lol

I thought you called her “Sis” b/c she’s the youngest and you would talk to your older sons and refer to her as “Sis”!

  8. that really was cute what she said. i haven’t had fish sticks in years; used to love to put them on bread with ketchup.
