the doula chronicles….

no baby, no change. she is now quite sure that her original due date was correct at august 6th (which happens to be my oldest b-day as well:) she is healthy and has a good attitude about it.
I thought I’d show you some pics I took of Lake Michigan. These are of Weko beach and what we have always called Tower Hill, but is actually Warren Dunes State Park. These were taken with a disposable camera, so they are not the best, but they’re not bad.
This is Weko. It was really nice, it’s an hour from us in Bridgeman. We had some friends camping up there that invited us up on the 4th. What was so cool about it was this little lagoon thing they made for the kids. Sometimes the Lake has such big waves that it’s hard for the younger kids to be in it, so they dug this out for them. At it’s deepest it went to my knees.
There was a really nice board walk and little restaraunt and every evening at sunset a couple of trumpeters would play Taps.
I know you can’t see them very well, but my 3 are the ones on the right. We had a great time this night….
This is Tower Hill. When we were kids it was great fun to get to the top and then run down. It’s even more fun to sled down in the winter:)
You can’t really see how big it is in these but the dunes really are extraordinary. The back side is much steeper, and there used to be a rope swing that we would jump off. I don’t know if it’s still there, I haven’t been to the top in years.
hope you enjoyed them:)
